Lunch (11:30 a.m.): I made the usual onion and smoked salmon salad (sans avocado because I ran out) but this time, I used the mandoline to slice the onions very thin. I thought this will help me reduce the amount of olive oil I use. Yes, I did use less but I didn’t like the texture all that much. I think I’ll go back to manual chopping.
I had a cup of coffee (with powdered milk and brown sugar) with the salad, and had three, little chocolates for dessert.
Snack (3:00 p.m.): Had a small block of Havarti that I got from Fresh and Easy. It’s really delicious and I love the packaging.
Dinner (7:00 p.m.): Spaghetti with pre-made Bolognese sauce. I added a handful of arugula and spinach mix out of a bag. Also had two glasses of wine, and some vanilla beans ice cream.
I’m almost done reading a book written by Makoto Hasebe, a soccer player who served as a caption of the Japanese national team during the last World Cup. It’s a wonderful book. And yes, he’s a hottie. More on that later.
Wishing everyone a happy and safe Mardi Gras!
I’d love to read the book! I need it 😉
Lots of carbs today – are you getting enough sleep?
Yay for Kangoo workout tomorrow!
