About This Blog

Lavender and Olive is my shop on Etsy that specializes in handmade soaps and other delicious creations. This blog is an accompaniment of the shop, and it chronicles my creative endeavors, as well my endless adventures for good food.

This blog started out in 2007 under the name “Time for Dinner,” as a place to document all the restaurants I visited with my then boyfriend, and now husband, Kevin. Just like our relationship, this blog grew and blossomed into something much, much more than I could have ever imagined and hoped for. In addition to obsessing over good food and great (and sometime not so great) dining experiences in the Los Angeles area, I share recipes, craft tutorials, and, of course, random rambling about my days here.

  1. I love the blanket that you did. What size needles did you use? And I just want to make sure I have the pattern correct, k1 p1 across the row, knit 2nd row, then repeat k1 p1, knit 4 row?

    • Hi Donna! I’m so glad to hear that you like the blanket!

I used needle size US 10.

      The pattern is actually this:

Row 1 (Right Side): K1, P1, and repeat until you get to the end of the row.

Row 2 (Wrong Side): Knit all the way across.

      Repeat these two rows.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have other questions!
